Presidents Column - December 2009

George D. Honeywell

The Holidays are almost here. By the time you receive this newsletter Thanksgiving will be past and Christmas and New Year closing in on us. Times are tough and I am sure many people will be scaling back on the gifts this year, and maybe that is not a bad thing. Maybe we can spend a little more time reflecting on the meaning of these holidays. Thanksgiving the time to give thanks for what we do have, families gathered around the table to enjoy each others company and life’s bounty. Christmas, the time to remember the birth of Christ and to share gifts and merriment; and maybe slow down for a bit of relaxation and reflection. New Year, when we say goodbye to the old and welcome the new and hopefully prosperous future. Where every day is the first day of the rest of our lives, and we should make good use of them all.

From the Officers and Directors we wish you a safe and joyous holiday season.
