Presidents Column -- December 2010/January 2011
George D. Honeywell
It is sad to report the loss of long time Club Member Barry Groh who was tragically shot and killed on the opening day of the antlered deer season. Most of us have followed this event on the news but I am sure many did not know Barry was a Club Member. The Club sends it’s condolences to Barry’s wife and children.
We wish a safe and meaningful Christmas and New Year to all of the Club members and their families.

Building Committee
We are moving ahead on the new clubhouse, the latest progress is we have the wall panels and trusses set and the 2”x4” roof framing has been installed. We will proceed with the sheathing of the gable trusses and installation of the fascias and rake boards to get ready for the metal roofing. We are working on the building at least (1) day every weekend, we had a good crowd when we set the trusses but the remaining weekends have seen the same 4-5 people. I send emails out every week to note which day we will be working but that only reaches 1/3 of the Members. If you can help please call for the information of which day we are working. My numbers are in the bulletin.

Both ranges are in good shape. Shooters have been using and leaving the benches on the pistol range, it is fine to take them from under the overhang to use down the range but you MUST put them back to protect them the weather.
