The Straight Shooter

About

Our shooting ranges are grass lined with large 30 foot backdrops to ensure safety of our neighbors and hunters. You must sign in at every use of the ranges with your membership number. Your parking pass must be displayed in your vehicle during use. When using the walking path, please be sure to wear proper bright identifying colors.

Fishing Creek

Our creek has  a beautiful 1/4 mile mile run which is seasonally stocked with trout from Birchcreek Fishery trout stocking. It can be found 1 mile east of the clubhouse along Doerr Road. We have a children's fishing competition in May every year.

If you see someone without a fishing license, contact the Fish Warden. Do not approach anyone on your own.

Pistol Range

The Pistol Range is located behind our club house. This is a 50 yard range. We hold yearly ham and turkey shoots using 12 and 20 gauge shotguns. Feel free to bring your skeet shooter. There are stoned evenways at 25 ft and 25 yards.

Rifle Range

The Rifle Range is located 300 feet east from our club house. This is a 100 yard range. There are stoned evenways at 25 and 50 yards. We do not allow fully automatic weapons, shooting of bottles, cans, or solid objects that will leave debris or could bounce off and shoot you back.

Hunting

Licensed Members may use our property during hunting seasons.

Walking Path

We have a beautiful walking path through the woods next to our clubhouse. This leads to a small pond, which although is under long-term reconstruction, is a beautiful and private place to walk your dogs and picnic. Please wear appropriate bright colors and leash your animals -we are not responsible for lost pets, and there are skunks out there.

Junior Members

No-one under the age of 10 is permitted on our ranges. Shooters ages 10 and 11 are permitted on the rifle and pistol ranges with .22 caliber rimfire firearms only
